HKMI introduces the stratagem for getting your international Driving Permit in 5 steps

Documents required:
1. International Driving Permit TD51 application form (Be aware that ups can only fill in the forms online and be printed after. Online submission is not supported.) 
2. Personal ID (Original/copy) 
3. Recent ID photos 
4. Proof of Address (Original/ copy)
5. Fee: $80

You are advised to arrive your appointment on time. The handling fee can be paid through cash/ EPS/ Cheque. It is likely possible to have your international driving permit strict away. 

In case you were too occupied to visit Transport department in person, you are encouraged to mail your documents along with the cheque of handling fee to （Kwun Tong Licensing Office, P.O. Box 68115, Kowloon EastPost Office, Kowloon). The transportation department shall mail you your permit in 10 working days.
